Where do all of the missing things go???

Ugh. Every day the kids bring home a book to be read and returned to school. Tansyn has a habit of pulling everything out of his backpack in the van on the way home. Yesterday as he started this I put a quick end to it. "Every time you pull your stuff out in the van, something gets lost. Keep it in your backpack until we get home." So it went back into the backpack. We got home and brought things in the house and he pulled it all out again.

He was very excited about the book he brought home yesterday, Rescue Heros Earthquakes... So was Parkyr. They huddled against my loveseat and looked at the book for a little bit, and then scurried off to play. I was on the phone finding out that I would have had the nurse residency job, but someone who had OR experience came along and they hired them for the OR, which was what I would have done after the 6 weeks of residency. So, then, residency job obsolete. Why train new nurse when experienced nurse available??? "We've made it so that you can apply again in May, and we're hopeful that the need for nurses based on the economy will be greater at that point. PLEASE re-apply in May."

After that news I didn't give the little yellow book one more thought....Until it was almost time to put kids to bed, and the book needed to be read. I looked for a while, Had the kids look for awhile, got mad. Looked some more, Trevor looked, and the kids looked as good as kids do. Got even madder. Sent the kids to bed in fury, and looked again some more. Did dishes, looked some more. Put babies to bed, looked some more. Got up this morning, kept looking.

Now, I have decided it has gone the way of the missing shoes and socks, the missing DVD cases and most things which are important to me. I do not have a messy house, so where do these things go???? Guess I'll be paying for that one.

Total bumber on the job. I would love to be the one secretly hording everything kids ever lost. I'm beginning to think it's the new way to make a million. J/k it will turn up, just like the baseball mit.

I am SOOOOOO sorry about missing you in Oasis. I didn't hear back from you and so I assumed you weren't going to make it. I wish, wish, wish, WISH I had called your parents before we left. Sorry to make you guys work so hard to get there and then ditching you. Can we still be cousins? I really am sorry. As I live in my little house with my four children (sans twins) and my husband that doesn't have much od a commute . . . I have no idea how you do what you do and do it so gracefully. You really are an amazing woman. I really need to get to Utah sometime for the Memmott reunion. I really miss you! I made my blog private and would like to send you an invite so you can read it when you get bored. I just need you e-mail address. You can send it to me at memmotth@yahoo.com. I love to read your blog, so keep posting!
